If you are visiting this site then you probably know me personally. I can’t think of any reason anyone is ever going to go to mccroak.com unless I invite them. At this time my website is dedicated exclusively to photography.

My students think that I have been everywhere and done everything. That’s only because their world is so small. Some of them have never been outside of Polk County. I hope that in a small way I can broaden their world by sharing my own adventures. Perhaps they will be inspired to go beyond their known world when they are adults.

If you are not familiar with Project 365, it is a blog of photographs taken one per day for a year. (Click on Project 365 to see my daily photos.) I only recently heard of the project, but thought it would be fun especially since I just got a new camera.

I hope to take a new photo and post one a day for a year. Nothing special about my pictures. I’m not a professional photographer. I just enjoy finding interesting things to photograph. Forcing myself to take pictures everyday can be my afternoon therapy and exercise. What a great excuse to go for a walk.
